Dhawan is an Indian film director. His real name is Rajinder Dhawan. He
specializes in directing comedy films. Actor Anil Dhawan is his brother.
He made his way into Bollywood with the hopes of becoming an actor. He is
most popular for his comedy films that often star Govinda. He gained maximum
popularity for his No.1 films like Coolie No.1 (1995), Hero No.1 (1997),
Biwi No.1 (1999), Jodi No.1 (2001), Shaadi No.1 (2005) etc.
His biggest blockbuster hit till now is film Aankhen (1993) starring Govinda
and Chunkey Pandey. His most recent film
Partner (2007) has also proven to
be a big hit at the box office. He was one of the three judges of
Nach Baliye 3
