for creating popular Talent hunt shows like Antakshari (Zee TV),
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Zee TV),
Star Voice of India
(Star Plus),
Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad (Star Plus) etc.
Gajendra is originally from Uttar Pradesh. His father was the general
manager of the Gandhi Ashram in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. He moved to Mumbai
in 1984 to pursue his career in the entertainment industry. He started his
career as a film editor for Doordarshan channel. He left his job in 1988.
Gajendra got his major breakthrough with the popular show Antakshari on Zee
TV. Later, he created
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a music competition on Zee TV. He also
produced and directed the two talent hunt shows -
Star Voice of India (Star
Plus) and
Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad (Star Plus). |

I have been an avid fan of yours. First of all may I have the privilege of introducing myself, I hail from a small town in West Bengal which lies in the foot hills of Darjeeling.
Sir it is not for me that I ask for a chance to present my talent but my father’s. He is a retired Army Colonel, and singing has always been his first and last love, but his Army family background forced him to join the forces and he failed to indulge in the music field. Talents cannot be hidden saying really proved even during his profession days and thus he was always able to live up to his dreams by singing on stage for the hand full of audience.
I am not praising him because he is my father, but his talent can be well proven by the fact that he was once offered by the late Gulshan Kumar ji but unfortunately he could not accept it as the Army norms and rules prevented him from doing so. He missed his second chance when he was offered to playback for a Nepali movie in Katmandu for the above mentioned reason, and also to the fact that in case if he chose a new career, we would also have been affected by it indirectly or directly.
But now he is free of all his responsibility and thus being ever grateful to him I know I cannot repay to all the sacrifices he’s done for us as they are countless but I think with your help the least I can do is to make his one dream come true which he has been keeping alive since I remember. Mr.Gajander you have always been an promoter for new talents be it old or new, young or aged and along side it am also well aware that you are a busy person, ,you must be receiving millions of mail like mine and responding to all will be practically impossible for you but sir it is my earnest request, a plied of this grateful daughter be heard and this old humble soldier’s dream be full filled with your kind gesture by providing a platform to him.

On Star Voice of India, an excellent products full of talents and profiles, I found Abhijeet to be the most obnoxious character on the panel. He always mentions we don't need foreigners for SVOI. Indians are Indians everywhere and we should all be proud whether we are in London or Lucknow. Please make some sense into this idiot. Although, he is highly talented, we, the Indian Diaspora abroad find his comments racist, and to discriminate another Indian, from which ever background or country they emanate from is purely subjective RACISM. Tell this bastard to shut his mouth and, if possible, remove him from such a highly charged and enchanting show, in the future.
I hope sincerely, that you will heed this suggestion for we admire you for such brilliance, we adore STAR TV and most of all we love ALL the Indians. We are proud to be Indians and comments from idiots like Abhijeet only incur our wrath on his ignorance and his attitude.
By a quirk of fate we ended up in foreign lands yet it does not mean that we do not love India or its citizens. We, too, have morals and excellent family values here in the U.K. and other parts of the Globe.

I am a regular viewer of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar. My hearty congratulations to you and the team for putting up such an excellent reality show. The contestants seem to put their best efforts to prove themselves.
As a lover of music I would like to make a suggestion, which I believe will ameliorate the standard of the competition. Now that the competition has reached this level where only 7 champions are contesting, the kind of songs they sing to prove their mettle should be of high standard. It should be taken care that the contestants dont get away with easy songs for which they would get good remarks and their tally on the score board will also go up.
Any day classical music is the best touchstone for a good singer. Classical songs bring out the range in the voice of the singer. We have plenty of Hindustani Classical songs in our old movies sung my veterans like Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeskar, Asha Bhonsle and many more. At this level of competition it is appropriate that the contestants prove their talent by singing these old hindustani classicals. This will help us find the best of the best.
The previous competition "Chotte ustad" was really of good standard, and the contestants proved themselves in all genres including Hindustani Classical. Having seen and appreciated the performance of those kids, as a lover of music, I expect more from these adults.
I hope that my suggestion would be taken into consideration.
Once again I would like to congratulate the team of "Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar" for their efforts in making this show a grand success.

He should be in control of his programme which has a good rating. I feel the show chote ustaad is for the viewers not for the judges. Viewers see to give vote to the one who entertains them the most. We are not for great talents but for entertainers. Agreed some kids may be great singers but the others who get more votes are great entertainers. You may wish to give playback chances to those best singers , as viewers we dont care. But the winner should be completely on public voting not on judges. I beleive majority of the public doesnt understand sur taal and all. We are looking for entertainers. Please consider.
