Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi is an Indian cricketer and the 9th Nawab of Pataudi, a town in Gurgaon district. He was born on January 05, 1941. Mansoor made his Test debut on December 13, 1961. He was a right-hand batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He was appointed as the captain of India in March 1962. He also captained Sussex in 1966. Mansoor married Indian film actress Sharmila Tagore on December 27, 1969. They have three children - Saif, Soha and Saba. Saif and Soha are Bollywood actors. Saba is a jewellery designer. Mansoor was honored with the Arjuna award in 1964.
