 Payal
Rohatgi is an Indian film actress. She was born on November 09, 1975 in
Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. She is the daughter of Veena Rohatgi and Shashank
Rohatgi. She has a brother named Gaurav Rohatgi. She was brought up in a
middle class family and grew up in Ahmadabad in Gujarat.
Payal graduated from the L. D. College of
Engineering, Ahmedabad. She won the title of Miss Tourism World in 2001. She
started her career as a model by modelling for popular brands like Amul,
Nirma and Nescafe. Later, she appeared in the music videos of Indian band
Silk Route and singer
Kay Kay Menon.
She made her debut in Bollywood with the Hindi
film Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai (2002). She got her major breakthrough with the
Hindi film 36 China Town in 2006. She has acted in few Hindi films such as
Plan (2003), Police Force (2003), Rakht (2004), Corporate (2006), Heyy Babyy
(2007), Dhol (2007), Ugly Aur Pagli (2008) etc.
She was one of the contestants of
Bigg Boss 2,
an Indian Television based reality show. She was eliminated on October 10,
2008. |
