Satish Kaushik is an Indian film actor and also a director. He is well-known for the role of Calendar from the Hindi film Mr. India (1987). He was born in Delhi. Satish graduated from the Kirori Mal College in New Delhi. Later, he attended the National School of Drama in Delhi and Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Satish started his career as an assistant director to Shekhar Kapoor. He has directed few Hindi films such as Prem (1995), Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999), Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000), Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001), Badhaai Ho Badhaai (2002), Tere Naam (2003), Vaada (2005), Shaadi Se Pehle (2006) etc. Satish wrote the dialogues for the well-known comedy film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (1983). Satish is on the board of Asian Academy of Film & Television. He along with well-known Indian film actor Anupam Kher started a new production company called Karol Bagh Productions in 2007.
