The third season started on February 27, 2009. The show was hosted
by Shweta
Tiwari – a television actress and
Shiv Pandit
- an Indian television actor and model. The third season presented a line
up of 12 celebrities paired with professional dancers. The show was
telecast every Friday and Saturday, at 9:00 pm on Sony Entertainment
Television channel.
Baichung Bhutia was declared the winner of
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 on
Saturday, May 31, 2009.

She began her showbiz career by assisting her
uncle Chini Prakash. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film
Snehapoorvam Anna (2000). Her first solo work was the choreography for the
song “Dhol Baaje” for the hit film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). She won a
National Film Award for her work. She took a short break from the film
industry and then returned to the Bollywood with the song “O Ri Chhori” from
the Oscar-nominated Lagaan in 2001.
She has choreographed songs of various films
like Devdas (2002), Baghban (2003), Fida (2004), Dhoom 2 (2006), Veer Zaara
(2004) and others. She has also
choreographed the Australian musical The Merchants of Bollywood, a musical
written by Toby Gough about her family.
She has won several awards for her choreography
for the song “Kajra Re” from the movie Bunty aur Babli (2005). |

They are there to help the contestants by adding suggestions. They are also to intervene in situations when the public is in the wrong in the way they are voting. It is easy to get caught up in who is most popular but in the end it is not fair to the contestants who are striving to work hard to get attention by the media for future advancement.
