Vinod Rathod is an Indian playback singer. He is the son of Late Pandit Chhaturbhuj Rathod, an Indian singer. He obtained his formal training in music from his father.
He started his career by singing a qawwali in the film Bedaag (1986). He became popular with the song “Badal Pe Chalke” from the film Vijay (1988). Later he sang the song “Parbat Se Kaali Ghata Takrayi” from the film Chandni (1989) with Asha Bhosle which made him famous. He is also known for the songs such as “Nayak Nahin Khalnayak” from the film Khalnayak (1993) and “Romeo Naam Mera” from the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993).
He has sung for various films such as Deewana (1992), Baazigar (1993), Prem Granth (1996), Judaai (1997), Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Vaastav (1999), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), Road (2002), Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) etc.
