CNN-IBN is an English language Indian TV news channel. Rajdeep Sardesai is the Editor-in-Chief of the network. It was launched in 2005. The network is a partnership between Global Broadcast News (GBN) and Turner International (Turner) in India. CNN-IBN had launched an opinion poll called the Indian of The Year 2007. The award recognized those Indians whose contribution to the country in a calendar year had strengthened the foundation of the society and had helped build Brand India in the process. The winners were decided on the basis of the votes polled by the people. The award categories along with the respective nominees were as follows:   Politics   P.
