    The 2009 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 2, was the second season of the Indian Premier League.
      
    The tournament was hosted by South Africa and scheduled between April 18 and May 24, 2009. The matches of IPL 2 was telecast live on Set Max channel.

    The final match of the IPL 2 was played between Deccan Chargers v Bangalore Royal Challengers on May 24, 2009 at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Deccan Chargers defeated Bangalore Royal Challengers in the final match and won the Indian Premier League 2009 (IPL 2).

    About Selection of Team
    Dear RC,

    Please select the team which can wins matchs. Please ask our Karnataka Ranaji player in the team leave their attitude ask them to think bigger and exploration to the world look at the Gony at Chennai team also look at in the other ipl team local player they are eager to explore them selves they are trying to learn from international player according to me Venkateshprasad should give some more concentration on bolwing being Indina Team Bowling Coach he as give good things and it is working try to pull our Bowling team socks and select our batsman try to give the chance Misbha and drop Jack Kalis for one or two match ask Rahul to think wide and positive if they are playing like this they will get only eight place in the current series. We are hopeing that they will do well in the rest of the matches. Also We wish our Royal Challenger-Bangalore team good luck for the rest of the matchs
