 Bhagyashree
Patwardhan is an Indian film and television actress. She was born on
February 23rd, 1969 in Mumbai. She comes from a conservative
Marathi-speaking family. Her father was the former Maharaja of Sangli.
Bhagyashree made her acting debut in a
television series Kachchi Dhoop (1983). Her debut movie Maine Pyar Kiya
(1989) opposite
Salman Khan made her very popular across
India. She acted in Telugu movie Maharatna Rana and Kannada movie Ammavra
Ganda (1997). She also acted in several other movies like Qaid Mein Hai
Bulbul (1992), Tyaagi (1992), Paayal (1992), Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi (1990),
Maa Santoshi Maa (2003), Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Janani (2006). She
has also acted in several commercial ads and television serials.
Bhagyashree is married to an actor and a
producer Himalaya Dasani. They have two children.
Bhagyashree was one of the contestants of the
reality dance show
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 on Sony Entertainment Television
channel. Her choreographer partner was Toby Fernandes. She was eliminated on
March 7, 2009. |
