Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is an Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - Dancing with the Stars is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions India. It is a unique reality-based dance format show which brings together celebrities from different walks of life such as sports, films, fashion and music to perform with professional dance partners on a highly competitive stage. The first season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa started on September 7, 2006. There were 8 participants and Mona Singh (Jassi, Lead Actress of Jassi Jaise Koi Nahi Television Show) was the winner of the first season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The second season started on September 28, 2007. Prachi Desai (Lead Actress of Kasamh Se Television serial) was the winner of the second season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The third season started on February 27, 2009. The show was hosted by Shweta Tiwari – a television actress and Shiv Pandit - an Indian television actor and model. The third season  presented a line up of 12 celebrities paired with professional dancers. After several rounds of dancing performances, 3 finalists were selected which were Baichung Bhutia, Karan Singh Grover and Gauhar Khan.
