 Miss
Teen India 2008 was the first Indian teenage pageant for girls in the age
group of 13-18 years. The contest offered young girls an opportunity to come
to a platform of character, style and personality.
Applications and nominations for the contest
were invited from eligible participants (those between 13 and 18 years of
age and born in India). Auditions were also held in Mumbai and Delhi on
March 06, 2008 and March 08, 2008.
The 2008 Miss Teen India, sponsored by TVS
Scooty, was held on March 29, 2008 in Mumbai. The event was choreographed by
Achala
Sachdev and was hosted by MTV VJ
Cyrus Sahukar. It was attended by
following celebrities from the Indian film and TV industry:
Koyal Rana from Delhi was crowned with the 2008
Miss Teen India title. She will represent India at the Miss Teen
International to be held in Chicago from July 24 to July 26, 2008.
Kanak
Nanda was the first runner-up and
Naomi Midha, the second runner-up.
