Miss
Teen International 2008 was a teenage pageant for girls in the age group of
13-18 years. The contest offered young girls from around the world an
opportunity to come to a platform of character, style and personality.
The 2008 Miss Teen International was held from July 24, 2008 to July 26,
2008 in Chicago, Illinois.
Gabriela Lopez (Alabama) was declared the Miss
Teen International 2008.
Kathryn McDonnell (Pennsylvania) was declared the
first runner-up and
Brina Potvin (Georgia) was declared the second
runner-up. Amy Jackson (England) won the Miss Congeniality Award.
The contest consisted of four rounds:
Personal Interview
An interview was conducted by five judges. The contestant had five
minutes with each judge.
Fitness
The contestants were to dress in fitness wear which was supplied by
the organizers and they were judged on being physically fit, energetic
and healthy.
Evening Gown
Each contestant had to wear her own choice of evening gown. They were
judged on grace, poise and elegance in evening wear.
Fun Fashion Wear
Each contestant wore her own choice of fashion wear. |
