Abhishek
Bachchan is an Indian film actor. He is the son well-known Bollywood actor
Amitabh Bachchan and actress Jaya Bachchan. He was born on February 05, 1976
in Mumbai.
He attended the Bombay Scottish school in Mumbai
and graduated from Aiglon College in Switzerland.
Abhishek made his acting debut with the film Refugee (2000) for which he won
the Filmfare Best Debut Award for the film. He came into the spotlight with
Mani Ratnam's Yuva (2003) for which he won his first Filmfare Best
Supporting Actor Award.
He has acted in several Hindi films such as Dhai
Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya (2000), Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai
(2001), Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya (2001), Shararat (2002), Om Jai Jagadish
(2002), Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Kuch Naa Kaho (2003), Zameen
(2003), Hum Tum (2003), Naach (2004), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Umrao
Jaan (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006) and others. His first major hit was Dhoom
(2004). He became popular with four consecutive hits in 2005 which were
Bunty Aur Bubli, Sarkar, Dus and Bluffmaster. He has won the Filmfare Best
Supporting Actor Award four times.
His first release in the year 2007 was the film
Guru which emerged as his first solo hit.
His next releases in 2007 were the films Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Ram Gopal
Verma Ki Aag and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
He married former Miss World turned actress,
Aishwarya Rai on April 20, 2007. |
