MTV Roadies is an adventure reality TV show that tests the spirit of groups of youth traveling cross-country on bikes. The show was created in 2003 by Raghu Ram, the senior supervising producer of MTV India channel. In the season of Roadies 7 the show was held in India and Africa. The journey began from the barren lands of Bhuj in Gujarat and continued to enter North Africa covering Egypt, Kenya & Tanzania. Roadies were given Hero Honda Karizma bikes to travel on a pre-decided route to perform tasks. Roadies were given tasks at every destination which were either Money or Immunity tasks. A particular amount of money was decided for a money task in which they had to earn that much money. In immunity task, they had to perform certain tasks to get immune from the next vote out roadie. Each week a vote out was held where all the roadies voted out one of the non-immune Roadies. The one, who got the maximum votes, was eliminated. The winners of the past six seasons were as follows:   Rannvijay Singh (Delhi) – First Season Ayushman Khuranna (Chandigarh) – Second Season Parul Shahi (Delhi) – Third Season Anthony Yeh (Kolkata) – Fourth Season Aashutosh Kaushik (Sahranpur) - Fifth Season Nauman Sait (Bengalore) - Sixth Season Auditions for the Roadies 7 were held in different cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, Chandigarh and Bengalore in September - October 2009. The show was telecast every Sunday at 7:00 pm on MTV India channel and was hosted by Rannvijay Singh.

In this contest the two teams were comprise 12 roadies previously voted out who had to push each other off the web, collecting flags in the way. Meghna’s team defeated Mohit’s team in this task. This way the top 3 performers Zaid Bin Nazir, Eric Roy and Anwar Syed were chosen with Meghna Mirgnani and they competed with each other for being final two roadies. Eric Roy challenged Anwar Syed and Meghna Mirgnani challenged Zaid Bin Nazir. Anwar Syed and Zaid Bin Nazir were the winners of the task given. Anwar Syed defeated Zaid Bin Nazir in the final task and won the Roadies 7 on April 4, 2010.
