 Sabsey Favourite Kaun is a
large Indian opinion poll on
Bollywood, the Hindi Film Industry, and is a measure of
a star's popularity.
Being operated by the popular Indian Television Channel STAR
GOLD, it got started in 2004. The stars are voted based on
their overall, long-term popularity and not just for one film
or one performance or one year. The show is attended by top
Bollywood stars and has a vast line up of performances.
Sabsey Favourite Kaun 2008 consisted of six different
categories. The six categories along with their nominees were
as follows:
Sabsey Favourite Kaun 2008 awards
were divided into two phases to ensure large-scale
participation by fans. In the first Phase, the nominations
were collected online. In the second Phase, the SFK Van went
out to 30 towns across the country, collecting votes from
fans. Votes were collected at selected outlets of Big Bazaar,
INOX Multiplexes and Q-Jam outlets in Café Coffee day. There
was also country-wide voting through SMS, Internet and IVR.
Finally, the winners were announced. The show was hosted by
the three Chak De Girls -
Shilpa Shukla,
Chitrashi Rawat
and
Tanya Abrol.
The award ceremony of Sabsey Favourite Kaun 2008 was held on
December 24, 2007. The seven winners were announced which are
as follows:
