Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2009 was an Indian Television based children's
singing competition premiered on Zee TV. This was the 3rd season
of the "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs" series. The show started on
June 5, 2009 replacing
Dance India Dance. Children between 8
to 13 years of age were participating in the show. The show was aired every
Friday and Saturday at 9:30 pm.
The second season of "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs" series started on October
19, 2007. There were 14 final contestants and
Anamika Choudhari from Assam was the winner
of the
second season of
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya and
Alka Yagnik
were the judges of L’il champs season 3.
Contestants of Sa
Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2009 were selected from across India through
auditions held in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore and
Chandigarh.
There were 12 contestants in the show, of which 6
are boys and 6 are girls. Girl contestants were guided by
Alka Yagnik
and boy contestants were guided by
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, both also judged
the contestants' performance. The winner was given singing contract
worth Rs 50 lakhs. |

i think shreyasi is a good singer, but this girls must win thing is extremely stupid. because the two boys are better. now last year the girl who won, anamika was very deserving of it. but hemant and yatharth are just fantastic singers. yatharth's albela sajan and hemant's saware were unbeatable. shreyasi cannot sing as well as hemant sang. her sur still goes a bit. im rooting for the boys even though im a girl, because their singing is more pleasing to my ears. so please people forget this girls vs. boys thing and vote for the most deserving contestant. and stop regional voting as well. don't vote for people just cuz their from state or city that you're from. | |

Hemant Brijwasi got two bites at the apple.He got back into the act as a Wild Card Entry. Upon his re-incarnation ,he was again in the danger zone twice.
Yatrath almost got eliminated as he was in the bottom two more than once.The judges gave him a new lease on life when
the judges refused to evict Yatrath at Prateeksha's peril.
Both Yatrath and Hemant sound like children.Hemant has a scratchy,hissy voice. Some day he will grow out of it.Yatrath dwells on loudness.
Shreyasi is the only singer whose vocals,talent approach that of a professional playback singer even though she is no older than the rest of the pack and that is class.
Just watch them sit on their new chairs.They all are so tiny that their feet hang in air about 8 inches above ground.Amazingly, the Chrismatic Afshan,is half their individual sizes.
The most deserving must win and Shreyasi is that person.

Shaan said in one of the earlier episodes that yatharth is a full musician. this is because he adds things in songs and makes it sound so good. he's very creative. he's also got the highest number of "champ of the day" awards. pritam gave it to him for dil hara. Kavita Krishnamurthy gave it to him for satrangi re. Sukhwinder Singh gave it to him for Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. and Shahid Kapoor thought he was the best when he sang pehli baar mohabat ki hain. Please please please vote 4 yatharth. i think hemant is quite deserving to win but he's not as versatile as yatharth. when Kavita Krishnamurthy had come, she had eliminated hemant. everyone thought priyanka would go, but she sang megha re megha re really well. kavita krishnamurthy said that the reason she had eliminated hemant was because he always sang the same types of songs.
anyway, im not forcing anybody to vote 4 my favorite contestant. im just asking you to consider yatharth's past and present performances and his versitality.

But yes, Hemant Brijwasi is a prodigy, indeed. His rendition on 'Saanwariya' is just extraordinary, marvelous and so unusual for his age. I am so thankful to Respected Madam Aloka Yagnik And Mr.Abhijit to present us such talents and help us realise the significance of training in Dhrupadi music in one's formative years if one has to pursue music as career. All three finalists have good, strong voice and very confident because of their sound foundation in Hindustani Classical Music.
Hemant is a wonder boy, I wish he becomes a protege of any living legends in music we have in our country. He is very promising, our little Ustad must entertain us with more and more magic in his voice. | |

The comments made by Abheejeet and Alka are ugly . Eg., in one episode – Abhijeet said to Abhigyan – “You are not doing the justice to the dress you are wearing” (The day Abhigyan sang ‘Mein Hoon Don”). What did he mean? Alka Yagnik is smarter. She left no stone unturned to make Shreyashi popular. Even when she performed badly , Alka would say –“You have chosen a difficult song… that’s why…this girl always chooses difficult song”. But why does not she say the same to others? There are many others, who also performed many difficult numbers. There are lots more examples. But October 2, 2009 would remain as a Black Day in the history of Zee TV.
Elimination of Abhigyan from the show was not only shocking but also shameful. I would not say anything against the judgment of the viewers, because Abhigyan was not eliminated because he got less votes, rather he got much more votes than others. It was a shameful decision taken by the judges Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik and supported by Zee TV’s concerned persons. It was a part of dirty politics played by these few people. I would like to take Zee TV their own stand and show their guts to publish the number of votes received by the each participant. Well, Zee TV can tell, it is their own decision, but in this case, they can not ask the participants to beg votes from the public! Arrange a show, let these judge decide who wins. Why are you doing this business of asking votes from public? You can’t play with emotions of the people.
When Abhigyan was the highest gainer in few episodes ( specially the last one, when YATHARTH and PRATIKSHA were at the bottom two) why did they stop elimination? In the episode when Asha Bhosale came, Abhigyan was not in the bottom line. But nobody was eliminated. Then why did they do in case of Abhigyan? It was complete partial and political. Because Abhijeet and Alka has already finalized Sheryashi as the winner and they knew if Abhigayn is on the fray , Shreyashi would not be able to make it in the final. The rests are very weak contestants, they are just taught to cry in from the camera so that people vote them being emotional , not judging their singing.
As far as singing goes, Swarit and Hemant do not deserve a berth even in top 10. There were far better singers. Sheyashi is not bad and Yatharth is a “ok” kind of singer. Anyways, Zee TV, if you want to keep your past glory alive and want support from public , be neutral and rely either on public voting or take your own decision. But taking valuable public votes and later taking your own decision is not permissible. We also feel, this shows needs some genuine judges like Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Krishna Murthy , Udit Narayan or some good music directors. Not like somebody who speaks more and like to do self-publicity in the stage like Little champ. We don’t want judges who behave like jokers to attend public attention and do all those politics with these innocent kids. The judges should be neutral and give comment that make sense. The current judges are fading singers and they comments reflect their value and of course, frustration.
Viewers ( mainly from the North East), be careful from the next year onwards and if Zee TV continues the same attitude towards the contestants of this region, NEVER Vote and stay away from watching this channel.
At last, Abhigyan, don’t loose your heart. You have been fantastic and the most talented singer among all the competitors in Little champ 2009. Nobody can compare with you. Everybody knows they are doing injustice with you, but does not matter. You will win something more valuable than this. I salute you for the spirit that you don’t show tears to public. Thanks for not being a part of this “Rona dhona Nautanki”. | |

He kept up the sporting spirit and exited gracefully with a smile. An adorable child with a wonderful voice. I will certainly miss him. It was sad to see his mother break down like that.
All other singers are equally terrific - love Yatharth, Hemant and Shreyasi.
Prateeksha has a melodious voice and is very hard working.
