Sarkaar Ki Duniya is an adventure reality show aired on Indian television channel Real TV. Produced by Miditech Pvt Ltd, the show started on March 2, 2009 and was aired Monday to Friday at 10:00 pm.

Sarkaar Ki Duniya was a reality show that plays on the basic human traits of greed and self preservation. The show was set on 13.5 acres island on the Kalinadi River where contestants have to live in natural environment. The show was based on the task of transforming the island in to a habitable place using team work and hard work. The contestants have to transform themselves by battling out their egos and live in natural environment away from urban life.

Eighteen contestants have been chosen from diverse professional backgrounds. These contestants were given different individual and team based tasks each week and they were given precious guineas (gold coins) for completing task. To survive in the show they have to earn maximum guineas. The contestant who had the least amount of guineas was eliminated from the show. The contestant who still stands at the end of the show won a Mega Cash Prize of Rs.1 crore (about US$ 200,000).

The tasks in the show were given and judged by the Sarkaar of the show. Sarkaar of the show was Ashutosh Rana – an Indian film actor who with his commanding voice and powerful screen presence was entertained the viewers in the show.

Sanjeev Gupta came back through wild-card round on May 7, 2009. Mink Brar, an Indian film actress joined the Sarkaar Ki Duniya on June 2, 2009 and she was eliminated on June 25, 2009.
Grand Finale of Sarkaar Ki Duniya was held on July 3, 2009. Top four contestants selected for the grand finale were Puneesh Sharma, Ali Wassim R Mughal, Rashid Ali and Sanjeev Gupta.
Puneesh Sharma was declared the winner of Sarkaar Ki Duniya on July 03, 2009. Ali Wassim R Mughal, Rashid Ali and Sanjeev Gupta were finalists.
