 Star
Voice of India is a highly popular Indian Television singing competition on
Star Plus channel. The show was created by
Gajendra Singh,
an Indian Television producer & director, in 2007. It has served as a
platform for budding and struggling singers from across the nation to
realize their dreams. The first season
of Star Voice of India started in May 2007.
Ishmeet Singh was the winner of the
first season.
The show was in its second season. Auditions
were held in various cities of India such as Kolkata, Ludhiana, Bangalore,
Agartala, Ranchi, Indore, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, New Delhi
etc. from June 29, 2008 to July 06, 2008. 24 contestants were selected after
the initial screening.
The Star Voice of India second series got started
on July 18, 2008 on Star Plus channel. It was aired every Friday and
Saturday at 10 p.m. The show was produced by Saibaba Telefilms and was
anchored by well-known Indian playback singer
Shaan. It was judged by renowned music
composers Ismail Darbar
and
Monty Sharma and playback singer
Sukhwinder Singh.
The show featured 24 talented singers from different states of India. They competed with each other for the coveted title of Star Voice of India 2.

A wild card round was held on September 27,
2008. The eight eliminated contestants
Rahul Mukherjee,
Vinti Sharma,
Ryan Dias,
Sayantani Das,
Zakir Hussain,
Vipul Mehta,
Shraddha Das and
Mallar Karmakar competed against each
other in order to re-enter into the main competition.
Mallar Karmakar and
Vipul Mehta returned to the main
contest on September 27, 2008.
Mallar Karmakar was eliminated on
October 10, 2008 and
Vipul Mehta was eliminated on October
24, 2008. Due to change in format of the show
Mallar Karmakar,
Vipul Mehta and
Zakir Hussain were brought back into
the show on October 25, 2008.
Grand Finale was held on December 21, 2008. Top
two finalists were selected for the grand finale
Ravi Shukla and
Saptaparna Chakraborty.
Ravi Shukla was declared the winner of
Star Voice of India 2 on December 21, 2008.
Saptaparna Chakraborty was runner-up. |

And the winner is ravi who is dull with no conviction a total crap and failure. I could sense it quite some time during the programmes that the judges were condoning upon him. Monty was saying for Vipul : this is just the beginning what will be the outcome at the end? Attack him! Then came Ismael Durbar who was so flattery towards the talented Zakir and then what happened? Also the same kind of comments were made to Saptaparna nicknamed Roshni and where are these comments to day from Durbar? Sukhwinder too had his gestures of wah wah to the other contestants so many times and he is as dull as the spiritless Ravi . such a crap, a bluff. Briefly a farce , a big one . SVOI has been sending the wrong signal. Don't organise this format again Gadjinder , you must be short of imagination as our lyricists, music composers or singers of to day. This program kept loosing it's stature with each progressing episode:
Here are the reasons:
1. Stupid Judge No.1 Sukhi"ji".
He does not know English but keeps using his stupid english
words: krrect....maixican....and stupid phrases like "keep it".
He does not deserve the fame he has got...HOW can people
say he is the "best" is beyond me....I dislike his voice....
Be that as it may....this guy is one of the STUPIDEST judge
to grace a stage..
2. Stupid judge no.2 Ismaeel Darbar:
This guys MAY BE a good technician/mucician but he IS NOT
suitable as a judge...he keeps putting his foot in his mouth...
- Saptaparna has caught his fancy...he keeps praising her
even though he KNOWS she does not sing well.
- He kept badmouthing Ravi....who is a winner.
What does this prove ???????
3. Stupid judge no.3 - the Motu Monty Sharma:
He is stupid...period!!! he cannot judge a competition.
Gajji.... this is the worst show ever.........sorry but you know that is the truth....make sure you do not repeat these mistakes next time.

Mallar is a very good singer, his voice reminds us of Kishore Kumar, he is the next KK. Vipul Mehta guy from Punjab should be removed from this program. Mallar has good knowledge of "raag" he can perform any type of songs.
I would like to say this to everyone in India, that being in USA we enjoy watching these shows, my only request to all of them is be fare and square, don't try to bring the lossers back into the show once they get removed e.g why do u keep on bringing the "Mehta" guy again and again there is no reason to bring him once he is out of the show. | |

(i) In sixth central pay commission, one more pay scale upgradation should be given to all security personnel of Central Para Military Forces under MHA and to Army personnel from the rank of Constable upto Commandant. These central paramilitary force personnel are day and night they are securing our nation, our lives. So in sixth central pay commission one more pay scale hike should be given with our more allowances immediately. It should not be given to state police personnel.

Also DO NOT give us the STOCK shots of the SAME audience clapping at some totally wrong moments.....SINCE WHEN DID YOU START RESORTING TO THESE GIMMICKS ?
I have some tips for Gajji:
1. Hire good judges...
2. Plan GOOD songs...even your show has SAME songs
over and over again.....
The theme on the last show was Golden jubilee hits and NOT
one song was good.....wah! kya songs they........from
SRK films???!! these were HIT songs ?!!!
Don't do this to us Gajji....not you...
But it was good key you screw the judges.....they deserved THAT!
3. Hunt for GOOD singers......that is your speciality.
4. Voting should be there for your profit but combine votes with
good judgement.
5. My suggestion for judges: Kavita Krishnamurthy....
Suresh Wadkar (if he can leave Zee)....Shankar Mahadevan
(if he also can leave Zee).....Farah Khan. (she is good)....
Vishal Shekhar (they are good)......
6. DO NOT hire these idiots:
Ismaeel Darbar, Sukhi"ji", Monty (yeh to teen bandar hai).
Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshal...and all aajkey stupid singers
like Abhijit..something-Rathod , Shaan, something Iyer etc.
These people DO NOT know singing. The new bachchas can sing
better than all of these singers put together.
This is tough business and once you are stuck with inept judges then the show gets spoilt!!!
I and many people like me have stopped watching this show..

For your information, SAREGAMAPA was conceived, directed and managed by GAJENDRA SIINGH. He fell out with Zee TV and started his own company which now makes the musical show for Star Plus.
Therefore, VOI is NOT a copy of saregamapa. Zee continued with the show and Gajji started his musical on another channel.
But yes, Gajji has not been lucky with VOI especially with the judges, during JJWS, he had those stupid judges Pritam, Shreya Ghoshal and Kunal Ganjawala....this time he has even worse.....Monty Sharma (attak ?????!!!!! pagal hai kya yeh aadmi?).....Sukhi"ji" ????? - something is even WRONGER with this chap...."aap relax hokey gayeeye...." and Ismaelll Darbar....."kya batey"......For good singers they give bad marks and vice versa....
