Voice of India Chhote Ustaad was an Indian TV based children's singing
competition that premiered on November 30, 2007 on Star Plus. The show was
telecast every Friday and Saturday at 10 pm.
Twelve contestants from different states of India competed against
each other for the Chhote Ustaad (Young Maestro) title.
The show was hosted by
Aabhas Joshi, the second runner-up of the
2007 Star Voice of India contest.
Pritam
Chakraborty,
Shreya Ghoshal and
Kunal
Ganjawala were the judges.

A Wildcard Episode was kept on February
09, 2008. The 8 eliminated contestants -

Prakriti,
Shailey
competed against each other in order to re-enter the main competition.
Prakriti Giri returned to the main contest
through a wild card entry on February 15, 2008.
After several rounds of singing performances, 2 finalists were
selected
Anwesha Datta Gupta
and Aishwarya Majmudar.
The Grand Finale was held on April 05, 2008.
Amitabh Bachchan, the well-known Indian
film actor was the chief guest.

A lot many thanks to u for making us realize yet again that Bengalis are the champions who compelled u to write such non-sensical things where u have nothing to write about Aishwarya's milestones...as there are none to mention....and only have those money to spare for ur voting..if at all it happened bcoz there is no proof of the number of votes polled also...
Now coming to the last line of urs....AISHWARYA IS THE WINNER OF THE SHOW AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS. DO YOU FINALLY UNDERSTAND THAT....
ya she is the winner of the "show"....it was a show for aishwarya only...and for your kind information that doesn't matter finally!!!!!!!
Do u remember who was the winner of Indian Idol 2...no??...may b yes...bcoz ur choice downgrades to that point only!!
And we Bengalis do not chew paans only like the Benarasians...we have a thought and have gifted u the songs that ur Aishwarya tries to sing!!!!
The Bengalis have enough to boast about!!!!But they don't.....as Aishwarya's nakhras bcoz empty vessels make the most noise...as it goes!!!
So just keep shut!!!and get back in oiling Aishwarya...if u can get a break like her (I dont think she has got any!!!!!!! except Golmaal Returns) or money from her!!
In that time we will be listening to some songs immortalized by Anwesha...which one shud I mention??

Logic goes as follows……
Anwesha used to be in ‘Scary land’ most of the time… from the very second episode of the Chhote Ustaad show. This shows how less popular Anwesha was from the very beginning! Up to finals, Anwesha has never ever scored highest votes ever! Now, after her father visited Mumbai for about 4 days before Bhopal show, suddenly her votes started jumping new heights? From where did all those new voters (or may we call music lovers) mushroomed?
On the other hand, Aishwarya has always received highest votes from the very second episode of the show. Aishwarya has received best of the comments from the guests coming to the show. Why only comments? Ms. Alka Yagnik even presented her own necklace to Aishwarya. (May be Ash's father masterminded that too... Stupid iconoclasts Bengolis would even believe that!)
May be most of the bloggers here are hardcore fans of Anwesha but than why did you kept your ass in your seat and did not canvass for your favorite contestant like everyone else did? Even when Anwesha received as low as 20 % internet votes during Kolkatta show, you all kept cribbing over on this blog & other blogs. You knew the rules of the game, didn't you? Why you kept singing the same song for one million time that your favorite is the best! Instead you could have spent your time convincing others that your favorite is the best like I did. You could have sent over one million mails to your friends requesting them to vote for your favorite. May be you all are "Khhakhi Bangalis",(with empty pockets) but sending request mails to friends hardly cost anything. At least all those who kept on with mental masturbation on this blog could have done something better!
But as usual, like typical bengolies, you keep cribbing if you don't get things done in your way without taking preventive actions & would bring your argument on streets saying "Chholbe Naa... Chholbe Naa". Now See…. “Anwesha Chholbe Naa….”
Finally, to conclude I would like to remind you all fans of Anwesha that she is habituated with runners up and so... (Again asking where? Morons, I stated in the very beginning that ANWESHA LOST FINALS OF BANGLA SA RE GA MA PA TOO) So.....stop cribbing about her defeat. She is used to that.
Better get up from your chair, throw that dirty paan & tobacco from your mouth, (Not from the window you Jackass!) go out on the street & start pointing out finger at nowhere in sky & you will have 1000 people doing the same thing within few minutes. You all are good for just that & nothing else.

I was quite fond of you, though never votd for anyone, as I don't trust this voting system for choosing a talent. It should be left with the professionals.
By reading your profile I thought, if you have done so many shows abroad, you will at least prove yourself better, on many occasions;
but till the end of the show you left us utterly disappointed.
You dint give a single number which could justify the title bestowed on you.
What is this? At least once you should have chosen some tough , challenging song to prove that you deserved the title.
I was so shocked you could not do justice to even the popular songs like NImbooda, Baire Piya, Barso Re to name a few.
Look at your other competitor , she has made the most non popular numbers so popular. This should have been your power as The Chhote Ustad 2008 . At times you appeared so novice , so tentative, as if not confident enough to touch high notes , and the harkattey.
You always used your falsy tone to touch high notes, which sounded so pathetic for a Chhote Ustad 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Aap to jeet ke bhi haar gaaye Ms. Majmuder!!! You disappointed us ,your fans and admirers totally!!! Not expected of someone who has done so many shows, and was already a Star when entered into the competition.
I think you need 10 more years' rigorous reyaz and learning to call yourself the true haakdar of this coveted title, at least considering the standard in this competition. | |

If Aishwarya was so popular, why was there no cheer specially for any particular song? Stage shows toh hair oil bechne walle or chewing gum endorse karne walle one time reality show winners bhi karte hai, that dont make them any singers?

Her attitude has made her winner. Anwesha needs to change her attitude in the first palce if she wants to achieve something. Anwesha's over confidence has brought her this defeat.
Whatever other singer's supportrs say now, I would proudly say..... Better luck next time. (And that too you will have to do something more than just sitting on this blog & shouting on injustice !

But giving the crown to Aish ( a non- deserving candidate) you will lose your viewership to Sa Re ga ma pa of Zee. I am sure. They judge singers by their talent not for some petty politics.Bombay, Delhi performances proved who is the actual favourite. Your Anwesha lagging behind in terms of votes ........really has no buyer. If only Gajji had decided upon a GOOD set of judges instead of these jokers:
- Kunal "THINKS" he is God's gift to singing-dom:
- his version of putting expressions in a song is to MAKE FACES
while singing.
- His voice is bad, he CANNOT judge.
- Shreya too thinks she is God's gift and thinks that we should
consider ourselves lucky to "HEAR" her.
- Does she know that the kids sing BETTER THAN HER ?
- Does she know she sucks-in-her-breath audibly while singing ?
- Does she know how irritating that is ?
- Pritam ? makes good music but cannot judge.
The less said about him the better....his "zulfein" are irksome.
His voice is shrill.....He looks like an ass when he shamelessly
cries on stage.

I have been watching this show for the last 2 months & am in total awe about the two finalists.
The contest reminds of 1982 World Cup Football semifinal between France & Germany where there was nothing to separate between the two teams after the match was over.
That game was for 120 minutes whereas Aish & Ann have been doing this for 120 days
The bottom line is that the two are equal.
While Aish galvanises ,Ann mesmerises.
Aish has Swar & Ann has Sur.
Aish moves the heart , Ann touches the soul
Aish has Madhu in her voice - Ann has Jaadu
Aish scores in sensuality - Ann in innocence
Aish creates the mood - Ann the atmosphere.

Let a landmark decision be taken & both be declared joint winners,
Because , if because of losing one of them gets demotivated & loses her way ,the biggest loser will be the country.
The majority poll? Majority is seldom right as History told us so many times.Only one person told against the whole world that Earth moves round the Sun & he was right.

After Prakriti's elimination judges are sidelined, why? It appears Prakriti and Sonia were potential threat to Aishwarys in terms of votes. If you had decided on the count of votes, why these two were not given a chance to win by virtue of only votes?

Both Anwesha and Aishwarya are very good. I cannot forget "Ek Radha ek Meera" or the ghost song by Anwesha, but biether can I ever forget "Aaj jaane ki zid na karo" by Aishwarya. However, if I have to pick one it would be Anwesha. Because of her perfection.
However, I do think that her gayaki is in Shreya's mould. And Shreya will stay for another 20-30 years for sure. So if she has to make a mark for herself, she has to develop her own style hgoing forward | |

I have not come across such a combination of sweetest of all the voices ever heard, some people have sweet voice but it hurts. Since we all know that anwesha is the best, and the audience is still dumb and doesn't understand this, i really don't see the point in posting persuasive comments explaining or justifying that anwesha really is the best. (I mean besides the fact that ANWESHA IS THE TRUE WINNER OF CHHOTE USTAAD). The only way we, us anwesha fans, can prove that Anwesha is the true winner is by voting for her. I agree. Aishwarya is becoming seriously overrated. It makes me mad that they can't see true talent. Aishwarya is really great, no doubt, but Anwesha is a whole different level. Also, I have noticed that Aishwarya is extremely fake. Please, people, don't fall for it. No 14 year old girl wants to be "a fairy and rule the world in a girlish way". Thanks to politics and other crap, Aishwarya's going to win. BUT GUESS WHAT?!??!?!!?!? It won't matter because the world knows that ANWESHA IS THE BEST!!!!!!! :D W00000000!!!

Even though she is not getting the song of her choice, where is the problem? The organiser & producer might have tried to test her ability. She has more than justified whatever unknown ,non hit songs she was given. Has she ever failed in her attempt? Infact, these songs have become popular now..Her U La La song was really unbelievable!!!!! I doubt if the original was this good in terms of expression, throw!!!! She is just a complete singer. I love the way you judge the contestants. Shreya's body language says something else but she says something else. When it comes to Anwesha, it seems she tries to find fault with her for no good reason. Anwesha gives such complex to all the female singers, it is quite natural. but at times it appears Aishwarys's singings are praised by you judges out of some kind of pressure. I dont really find Aiswarya that great( no range,perfection) to get kind of standing ovation she got for her mediocre singing.She is just above average.I heard, except for Anwesha all others are getting the song of their choice, whats the politics?You judges have become the puppet in the producer's hand or what?The producer is businessman but you are artists , you should always be with the truth.Look at sa re ga ma pa Sonuji & Sureshji gave their judgement which never drew any flak form anyone.Be upright & honest please... otherwise you will lose all the fans....... | |

I agree with you that Prakriti's singing abilities could have been criticised in more soft manner. But do you really think in a talent hunt programme of this stature where Anwesha like performer is there, Prakriti should ever get a place for the top two position? In front of ,even not so perfect ,Aishwarys, she sounds like a bathroom singer.We have nothing against Prakriti, but as Adeshji said Mike & Camera kabhi jhoot nehin bolti. I think even Prakriti will be ashamed to reach the top position, leaving one of them behind, b'coz she is a singer & is aware of her capability in front of them. We all love Prakriti for whatever she sings. But no comparison with them.We lost a lot of other good singers because of her.No hatred for that b'coz everybody had to go one by one.The top position does not even belong to Aishwarya.
