The 2003 Tripura Assembly Elections saw 80.01% of the total 57836 voters of Badharghat constituency cast their votes.

Out of the total of 46275 votes polled, the CPM candidate Subrata Chakrabarty secured 22773 votes to win the seat. The nearest rival, Dilip Sarkar, from Congress, managed to secure 21825 votes.
