Yeh Hai Jalwa was an Indian Television dance based reality show which got started on March 16, 2008. The show was telecast every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on 9X Entertainment Television channel. It was hosted by well-known Indian Television actresses Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar. The show featured nine teams which were mentored by nine celebrities from the Indian Television industry. The nine teams were as follows: Rakhi Sawant & Chillar Party (Winner) Hussain Kuwajerwala & Kal Ke Kalakaar (First Runner-Up)         Ronit Roy & Bindaas Bosses (Second Runner-Up) Shweta Tiwari & Bahu Ki Behenein (Eliminated on May 18, 2008)         Sharad Malhotra & Toofani Toli (Eliminated on May 11, 2008) Abhishek Awasthi and Urvashi Dholakia (Eliminated on May 04, 2008)         Prachi Desai & Masti Ki Paathshaala (Eliminated on April 20, 2008)   Rohit Roy & Firangi Patakhe (Eliminated on April 13, 2008)         Varun Badola & Guru Kool (Eliminated on April 06, 2008) Rosa Catalano & Rangeele Dilwale (Eliminated on March 30, 2008) Each team had six participants - one celebrity and five people from the public. The celebrities used to teach their team mates dancing and also used to perform with them. Abhishek Awasthi and Urvashi Dholakia were introduced as a new jodi on the show on April 20, 2008. They were eliminated on May 04, 2008. A Wildcard round was on June 08, 2008. The eight eliminated teams competed against each other in order to re-enter the main competition. Hussain Kuwajerwala & Kal Ke Kalakaar returned to the main contest through a wild card entry on June 08, 2008. After several rounds of singing performances, 3 finalists were selected - Ronit Roy & Bindaas Bosses, Hussain Kuwajerwala & Kal Ke Kalakaar and Rakhi Sawant & Chillar Party. The Grand Finale was held on June 15, 2008. Rani Mukherjee was the chief-guest. Rakhi Sawant & Chillar Party were declared the winner of Yeh Hai Jalwa. Hussain Kuwajerwala & Kal Ke Kalakaar were the first runner-up and Ronit Roy & Bindaas Bosses, the second runner-up.
